Dating back to 1630, this “palace-like” attraction was actually a tomb built for Mumtaz Mahal. She was Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s wife and the whole place is considered an ode to his infatuation for her.

Made entirely of beautiful marble – the Taj Mahal took over 20,000 people working on it, 22 years and a lot of love for it to get done. And no matter what we say, or how much we try to explain how beautiful the Taj Mahal is, there are no words that can explain the grandeur of that place. From the intricate details to the beautiful backdrops to the simple vibe around the place, there’s a lot to explore there and it’s good to know of some tips for visiting Taj Mahal
