The Petit Palais is one of the best art museums in Paris and hosts several exhibitions monthly. The museum is known for its widely renowned temporary exhibitions – from the Yves Saint Laurent fashion exhibition to photography and art exhibitions. Also if you’d like, you can try attending The Art of Pastel, from Degas to Redon that is still held until April 8th, 2018. The entire exhibition has a lot of emphasis on pastels, how magnificent they are when it comes to paintings and features masters like Edgar Degas, Paul Gaugin and Odilin Redon. Prepare to see the world in a “filter” of pastel colors!
The Centre Pompidou has thrived as a hub for culture and art, serving as a futuristic edifice right in the middle of Paris, juxtaposing with its cobblestone lanes and its gorgeous medieval edifices. There’s lots of different exhibitions. For example, on October 23rd 2017 an entire exhibition was made for David Hockney.
The exhibition was timed for his 80th birthday and shows over 60 of his paintings in different types of media – from photos, videos, art installations to engravings. It was a major success and attracted all types of modern art fans.

Chocolate Trade Fair [Salon du Chocolate] [October 28]
Where else you can find chocolate so perfectly intertwined with fashion, creating a highly unique event? Revel in the simple (and luxurious!) pleasures of life in this event held at the Porte de Versailles. Hundreds and hundreds of stalls of chocolates, patissiers, and food samples will be available along with plenty of activities, performances and events. Think conferences, tastings, workshops, parties and even a fashion show were models wear dresses made out of chocolate! This event cannot be missed if you’re in Paris in October.
International Contemporary Art Fair [October 19 – 22]
Another event that caters directly to all art and culture lovers, specifically people more into the contemporary art scene, the FIAC is an incredible showcasing of over 3000 works of art from all over the world. Some galleries are even hosted, giving an incredibly broad view of all types of artwork. The event is held in some of the most elegant gardens in Paris.
