This will be celebrated on Monday 1st day of January 2018. It is the New Year day and if it a national day in French.

The sales of the year start on the 10th day of January in Paris. These January sales will be made in boutique shops and in major department stores of Paris.

- ST-VALENTIN – VALENTINE’S DAY
February is the month of love. The Valentine’s Day in Paris will be on Wednesday 14th February 2018.
- CHINESE NEW YEAR
2018 in Paris is the year of the Dog. On 16th February will be the celebrations, paper lanterns, and parades for the 13th Arrondissement at Paris Chinatown.
- CARNAVAL DE PARIS
There will be a parade on 26th February at Gambetta at 2 pm. You spend the rest of the time partying as you wait for the great day of Place de la Republic.
- COURSE SAINT-VALENTIN
There will be a Valentines run in Paris in February 2018. Run for laughter and Love on this day at Parc de la Villette. The date will be addressed later.
- EASTER IN PARIS
This is the time Parisians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. It will start on 30th March to 2nd April. Good Friday and Easter Monday are National holidays in French. Easter Sunday will be on April 1st, 2018.
- SEMI DE PARIS
There will be a half marathon in Paris on 4th March 2018. This marathon is second in popularity after the Paris Marathon. It will have more than thirty-seven thousand runners from Paris and other countries.
- LA FETE DE LA SAINT-PATRICK
These celebrations will be done on Saturday 17th March 2018. Celebrate this day by going to one of the many Irish pubs in Paris. One of the best and oldest pubs that you should not miss to go is Fave bub in Kitty O’Shea’s France.
- CINEMA DU REEL FILM FESTIVAL
On the 23rd March to 1st April there will be a film festival in Centre Pompidou. During this days you will see a batch of experimental films and both international and French documentaries which you will really enjoy.
- POISSON D’AVRIL
The Fools day will be on Sunday, April 1st, 2018. Poison is a type of paper fish which the children in French put on the back of their friend’s shirts without suspecting.

- THE ANNUAL PARIS MARATHON
The Annual Paris Marathon will be held on the 8th day of April 2018. It is the biggest marathon in Paris. This marathon gathers around 40,000 runners from the world.
- FOIRE DE PARIS – HOME SHOW
From 27th April to 8th May 2018 is the time to get familiar with the latest trends in Europe on outdoor activities, gardens, home interiors, gastronomy, and wine. The show will be hosted at Porte de Versailles at only 12. 50Euros. Get tickets early enough online and book your space before they run out.
- FETE DU TRAVAIL
This is a national holiday for all French employees. It is also known as Labor Day. It will be celebrated on Monday 1st May 2018.
- WWII VICTORY DAY CEREMONY
This is another national holiday where the French honor the liberation of France. The France president will lay flowers on a soldier’s tomb in Arc de Triomphe. This will be on Sunday 13th May 2018.
- FRENCH OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP
The tennis championship will be held from 27th May to 28th June 2018 at Roland-Garros. There is no other red clay court Grand Slam tournament in Paris apart from this one.
- TASTE OF PARIS
This event will take place from 17th to 20th May at Grand Palais. This will be the event that will bring together wine, resultant and food producers. Top chefs will be holding a demonstration on different foods and wine. Attending it will not only be fun but educational.
- JAZZ FESTIVAL À SAINT-GERMAIN-DES-PRÉS
The event will be held in May, but the specific date will be given later. Here you will experience the best jazz performances in Paris.
- NUIT DES MUSÉES
The entrances of the Museums in Paris are free and remain open up to late hours during NUIT DES MUSÉES. This great event will be held in May 2018, and the date will be given later.
- FÊTE DU PAIN
The festival will be held at Notre Dame Cathedral from 15th to 12th May 2018. This is a bread festival, and it is at this time they announce the best baguette of the whole year.
- LONDON TO PARIS BIKE RIDE
The Bike Ride event will be from 16th to 20th May 2018. The cycle will start at the English Villages, go through the rural France and the final destination is the Eiffel Tower.
- VERSAILLE FOUNTAINS NIGHT SHOW
There will be night shows on all Saturdays of the summer season. There will be magnificent firework displays, and fountains show during the Versaille Fountains night show.
- FUTUR EN SEINE
The festival will be held in May 2018, but the date has not been given yet. This digital festival will be hosted at Le Carreau du Temple. This temple is found in Marias, and it’s a market with a lot of Paris History.

This is a cosmetic festival that will be on the 21st and 22nd June 2018. It will be hosted at Carrousel du Louvre. Some of the people expected to attend are makeup lovers, manufacturers, and trendsetters in the cosmetic industry.
- PARIS JAZZ FESTIVAL

The Expo will be held from 5th to 8th July 2018 at Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center. Here people from Paris will come together to celebrate J-music, animation, martial arts and manga.

- BASTILLE DAY
This national holiday in France is on the 14th of July. The military parade will be done at Champs-Elysées, and it will start at 10 AM. Later there will be a fireworks show at Eiffel tower at 11 PM.

The film festival in Paris will be held at Théâtre de Ménilmontant. It will be free for anyone who wishes to attend, and it is dedicated to animation.

All Saints Day is a national holiday in French. It is held on 1st November 2018. In this day Christians in French commemorates all martyrs and saints.
- LE MOIS DE LA PHOTO – PHOTOGRAPHY MONTH
November is a photography month in Paris. You will see international photography works for the whole month. This will be mainly done in Mep(Maison Européenne de la Photographie ).
- ARMISTICE DAY
The French remember soldiers who died during the war through a military parade on this day. They celebrate this day on 11th 2017 from Arc de Triomphe to Champs-Elysées. This a national day in French and everyone is supposed to be part of the event.
- BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU
The arrival of the new vintage of Beaujolais will be marked on 17th November. It is celebrated with music, festivals, and fireworks.
- PARIS INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL
The independent film festival is celebrated late in November at Cinema Le Reflet Medicis. This day shows the works of around 60 world’s independent filmmakers.
- SALON DU CHEVAL DE PARIS
These are high jumping competitions, and they will be done from 26th December to 4th December at Paris Nord Villepinte. Apart from the high jumping, there is also the World Arabian Horse championship at the same time.
- GRAND MARCHÉ D’ART CONTEMPORAIN
There is a modern art fair at Place de la Bastille on a date that will be given later. More than five hundred artists will come together during this time to show their newest works.
December is a Christmas month in Paris just like it is in other parts of the world. Spending Christmas in Paris is, however, more enjoyable because there are a lot of things to do here.

Christmas time is time to get all that you have desired throughout the year. The annual markets are opened throughout this month. Visit the markets and you will not come out empty handed.
